Have A Seat
t is no secret that in Apartment B the thing I hated most was my sofa. I had a old pull-out that I got from a thrift store when I moved into my first apartment. Notice I said that I had, I had that sofa. When we moved out of Apartment B I put up a listing for it on craigslist and got to say buh-bye to that old thing. I am not in great need of a sofa at this very moment because I am still staying in my sister’s apartment. But soon August will be here and Patrick and I will be setting up home in the bay area and then I will need a new sofa. So of course I am getting ahead of myself and have been online shopping. I have 5 options that I would give my right leg for, of course they are all way out of my price range and will never become a reality…sad face. A girl can dream though, right?
This is my favorite, it is the Reese sectional from Room & Board but at $3,800 I will never be able to afford it.
This is my second favorite. It is the Chesterfield Sofa from Mitchell Gold+Bob Williams. I love those arms, I want to curl up with a book and waste away on this sofa. I also want it in a cream color…ooh that would be to die for. The price for this baby wasn’t listed on the website so I can only imagine how much this would set a person back.
This beauty is from Macy’s and at only $699 it is getting closer to my price range.
This is the Azure sofa from Crate and Barrel. I love the curved back and of course, the tufting. I am such a whore for tufting (as if you hadn’t already noticed.) This bad boy runs a whopping $1799.
And finally, we have the Jasper sofa. It hails from Room & Board, have I told you how much I love Room & Board? I do, those folks make some exceptionally beautiful furniture and as far as I can tell it is also very well crafted. Ok, enough gushing. This sofa is not generally my style; notice there is no tufting, and it has very simple, clean lines. I didn’t think much of this sofa until I saw how lovely it looked in Nicole’s home. Once it has some pillows on it it looks great. I think what appeals to me here with this sofa is that it’s clean lines would transition well with my ever changing style.
So there you go, my favorite sofas at this moment. Do you guys have any favorites? Are they more affordable? I really could use some cheaper inspiration.
